The North Melbourne Kangaroos is a modern football club based in the beating heart of urban, inner city North Melbourne.The Kangaroos are deeply connected to Hobart – since 2012 we have found our second home here playing AFL games at Blundstone Arena and building the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos AFLW team with some of the best Tasmanian talent.

The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) is Tasmania’s leading natural and cultural heritage organisation. It is Australia’s second oldest museum and has its origins in the collections of Australia’s oldest scientific society, the Royal Society of Tasmania. It is a combined museum, art gallery and herbarium which safeguards the physical evidence of Tasmania’s natural and cultural heritage, and the cultural identity of Tasmanians.

The Theatre Royal is a theatre for everyone. Showcasing talent from Tasmania and all over Australia there is performances from Circus and Music to Comedy and Family Shows.

The Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania traces its history back to 1821 and is possibly the oldest cultural institution still operating in Australia. It is now focussed on celebrating 200 years of showing in 2021 and continuing to make the Royal Hobart Show and the Society contemporary, relevant and sustainable for the next 200 years.

The Society has grown in strength and stature and in addition to the Royal Hobart Show conducts annually the Royal Hobart Wine Show, Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards and the Tasmanian Vineyard of the Year Competitions. More recent business additions are Tenancies at the Showground, Showground Market and the very popular Motor Home & Caravan Park on the ground.

The Hobart Hurricanes are Cricket Tasmania’s T20 team, representing Tasmania in the world’s premier domestic T20 competitions - the KFC Big Bash League (BBL) and rebel Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) – where both international and national-level players flock to the Apple Isle to join elite Tasmanian cricketers. Whilst the Hurricanes strive for the ultimate success on-field, off-field they aim to entertain and engage the local community by introducing them to T20 cricket and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

Exploring beyond the borders of contemporary puppetry, Terrapin exists to make Australian lives better through contemporary puppetry, arts and culture. The company creates rich, unique experiences for children, families and intergenerational audiences. Performing in theatres, festivals, galleries, public spaces in Australia and around the world, as well as an in-school touring program.

Swisherr Hoops Academy is a full service basketball operation in three locations across greater Hobart, expanding to the rest of Tasmania in 2022. Swisherr offers programs for all abilities and all ages, from learn to play to Elite, 4 years old upwards. Our main facility located at 103 Melville Street (the old K+D building) is the bets equipped basketball training facility in Tasmania,
